I think I am getting several different points of view on how to play GW and haven't made my desires clear although one person pretty much guessed it. I don't want to play missions over and over and over again until I figure out the correct skills and weapons needed for that particular mission. I have never saved a template once but see how that feature might be great to use at times when I do experiement with new skills.
I'm looking for one (1) W/Mo build to carry me through Prophecy then Factions, and then Nightfall. One set of skills that don't change until I find a better skill to replace an old skill with.
One party of Heroes and Hench that doesn't change until I find a better Hero or Hench to use.
I still feel that GW, in spite of its beautiful graphics and exploration, is much more strategy and hack & slash then I like. I'm trying to ignore the strategy which includes being part of a live party or the strategy of equiping and managing skills in a party of Heroes--I just want to play out the adventure!
Some have encouraged me to play with Horoes and Hench without elaborating while others have put more strategy and been more specific in their replies.
Is there a "no strategy", one "simple path", no "Hero/Hench management" way through GW's adventure? I want to play the game but I'm not playing the game when I keep getting stuck and coming back here looking for answers. And when the answers spell out strategy or multiplayer then I think GW goes beyond my gaming capability--and maybe I just need to let go of it?
Was it the Heroes or the new Normal Mode? I'm in Amnoon Oasis at last. I didn't know where I was going next but I got through Sanctum Cay. Let's see how far I can go before feeling I need to post again for some magical help.
